Welcome to the official blog of the Missionary Diocese of the South and Ozarks. We are glad to have this space to share news, pastoral reflections, and updates from across the diocese.
The Missionary Diocese is a part of the United Episcopal Church of North America. Our congregations are spread across the South, lower Midwest, and West, united by a common commitment to biblical orthodoxy and the classical Anglican formularies — the Thirty-nine Articles of Religion, the historic episcopate, and the 1928 Book of Common Prayer.
What to expect
Through this blog we hope to share reports from episcopal visitations, reflections on the church calendar and our shared worship, news from our congregations, and resources for those interested in classical Anglican Christianity.
Whether you are a member of one of our congregations, a visitor exploring Anglican Christianity, or a congregation considering affiliation, we hope you will find this a helpful window into the life of the diocese.
Our mission
The mission of this diocese is to spread the good news that sinners and outcasts have the hope of redemption through our Lord Jesus. We exist to proclaim that Jesus is the only way to God, and that God alone is worthy of glory, honor, and power.
We give thanks for this new means of communication and look forward to sharing more in the months ahead. May it serve the glory of God and the good of His people.
